Day 1
Arrive in Asheville
Welcome to Asheville! We’ll pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel or B&B in downtown Asheville. Once you’re settled in, you’ll meet your guide/concierge, who will prepare you for the adventure ahead. You’ll have time to assemble your bike or get fitted for your rental. After a brief orientation, you can opt for an afternoon warm-up loop to get a feel for the area.
Day 2
Loop Ride from Asheville – 8 to 75 miles
Today, you have several ride options. Stay close to town for a leisurely ride through Asheville’s charming streets or explore the scenic roads toward Marshall and Leicester. If you’re feeling ambitious, tackle the high mountains and even ascend 6,684-ft Mt. Mitchell, the highest peak east of the Mississippi. Beyond cycling, you can visit local pottery studios, browse galleries, or simply take in the mountain air. Dinner is on your own tonight, and we’ll provide recommendations to experience Asheville’s vibrant culinary scene. Cap off the day with a visit to a local brewery like Green Man or Wicked Weed.
Day 3
Asheville Exploration – 8 to 75 miles
Today is all about discovering Asheville at your own pace. Ride another scenic route, explore the historic Biltmore Estate, indulge in a spa day, or even try stand-up paddleboarding. This is your chance to dive deeper into the region’s offerings and enjoy the best of both cycling and leisure.
Day 4
Asheville to Brevard – 20 to 60 miles
Today’s ride takes you from the city into the countryside. You’ll follow a rolling 40+ mile route along the border of Pisgah National Forest and the Biltmore Estate. The ride can be shortened with a vehicle transfer if needed. Pedal through the exclusive Biltmore Forest, an enclave known for its celebrity homes, and continue into rural landscapes. You’ll have the option to stop at the renowned Sierra Nevada Brewery for lunch before cruising into Brevard, your base for the night. Dinner is on your own, with plenty of excellent choices within walking distance of your B&B. For those interested, hiking, mountain biking, and brewery tours are available as add-on experiences.
Day 5
Brevard Exploration – 5 to 50 miles
Spend your last full day cycling or opt for a thrilling adventure. Ride up to the Blue Ridge Parkway, passing Devil’s Courthouse and Graveyard Fields, or take a more relaxed approach with a loop showcasing North Carolina’s breathtaking waterfalls. If you’re up for something different, try canyoneering, hiking, climbing, or paddling. Mountain bikers can explore the legendary trails of Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State Forest.
