This will be our 20th TdF tour, so we’ve had MANY guests – both riders and non-riders – join us over the years. We regularly receive praise from our guests, and oftentimes the feedback comes unsolicited. Check out the below testimonial from a few years ago!

“A Testimonial from a happy cyclist:
It was already June and while I had fully decided I was going to travel to France for the first time in my life in July to cycle and watch “The Tour”. I had not made any plans other than the purchase of a pocket French/English dictionary. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to sign up for an organized tour or “wing it” and rent a car and look for available lodging once I was there.
Well, the decision to sign up with Outfitter Bike Tours, goes down as one of the best decisions I’ve made in my cycling life. Jamie Gilpin was extremely helpful in explaining the options and helping me with my decision. From the time I was picked up at the Train Station in Avignon by Jamie himself, until my last night in Paris, the trip was nothing short of outstanding.
I was able to watch Tour de France action when I wanted and ride the beautiful roads and passes of France when I wanted, and the flexibility to do either was what I most appreciated. Conquering Mont Ventoux, Col d Galibier, Col d Semnoz, Col d Serene, Alpe de Huez, riding alongside Andy Schleck and Jens Voigt on their rest day, and 40+ mph descents that went on for miles are just some of the highlights made possible by Gilpin’s careful planning.
But I also found great companionship in the group and a range of riders that were fun to spend time on and off the bike with. The international make up of the group made for even more fun and variety of the trip. The outstanding service, food, accommodations and travel, from Jamie, Joy, Roger and the various service providers they are contracted with was great.
I highly recommend Outfitter Bike Tours to any individual, group of friends, couples or family members that are considering a cycling vacation in the regions served by their company. Look me up on Strava if you want to see what some of the rides were like.
Thank you, Andrew! We look forward to seeing you on future tours! As for the rest of you, come on our 2018 Tour de France Tour!
